What is a 'Transition town'?
Thinking Thursday in February 2025 explored this question. We started by watching these 2 videos:
This helped people to see that Transition Town Rugby is not aiming to do any one thing, but exists as a support and umbrella group for a multitude of projects, and that lots of things are possible under this banner. Or not under any banner, but supported by Transition Town Rugby.
Then, in small groups, we discussed wild ideas for possible projects, and what ifs.
Finally, we came together to share our ideas and pull out some possibilities to take forward. 2 ideas were particularly popular:
some kind of local press or newspaper or blog
something around local food, possibly a community orchard or forest garden, urban foraging workshops, a directory of local food and produce
